Larry Ackerman is widely regarded as the pioneer in the field of identity-based management. His first book, "Identity is Destiny," set forth a revolutionary view of the nature of identity. In his new book "The Identity Code: The 8 Essential Questions for Finding Your Purpose and Place in the World" (Random House, $21.95), Larry refutes the common belief that we can be whatever we want to be, as long as we work hard enough and long enough. He contends that the myth of personal freedom is the agony of the modern person, frustrating, and ultimately distracting us from seeking out what we are meant to do. Our true path is innate and coded in our identity, the most powerful human force on earth. (ISBN#1-4000-6417-1). To learn more, go to www.theidentitycode.com. Jessica Barone was raised on tales of the old country. As a youth, her imagination soared from the crypts of Sicily to the banshees of Galway Bay. Trips as a youth to Vermont helped spark an early interest in vampire lore. A love of classical music contributed to her creative process early on. Jessica eventually traveled abroad to places mentioned in her novels, such as France, Ireland, England, and Scotland. The Dream Series trilogy spans through place and time from 20th century Vermont to 17th century Paris, to modern Ireland and Iraq. View the curse of a young girl's tragic love, the downfall of 17th century French aristocracy, and the eve of the millennium through a male vampire's eyes. The connection between these novels are the passionate struggles of what one reader has called "super-dysfunctional vamp families that Jerry Springer would have a field day with." Filled with adventure, drama, tragedy, and longing, this is a series which brings new light to the genre. Available from Barnes & Noble, WaldenBooks, Amazon, and Booksense. Retail $24.95.
